The Industrial Sciences Group (ISG) (www.industrialsciences.com.au) is an advanced analytics company based in North Sydney, NSW. We specialise in industrial math/ statistics for complex engineering and commercial systems, predominantly in the space sector.

Our work includes projects with Google Lunar X and Space IL Lunar Mission; NASA Goddard; Space Environment Research Centre and EOS Space Systems; Geoscience Australia; AGI, the University of Colorado (Boulder), Space Exploration Engineering (contractors to NASA).

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in Australia’s booming space sector. You will be part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team solving real world problems both on earth and in space.

Hybrid work: collaborate in our North Sydney office 3 days/week, work-from-home 2 days/week.

General Requirements:

• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with fluent English
• Degree in Computer Science/ Software Engineering or similar

Required skills – Python:

• Strong Python, familiar with MATLAB
• Experience with data analytics / scientific programming
• Code architecture + planning
• Git/version control

Required skills – Front-end:

• Experience with implementing front-end code
• Comfortable with modern web technologies – i.e. HTML/JavaScript/Typescript/CSS
• JS frameworks – e.g. ReactJS
• NodeJS

Beneficial to have experience in:

• Code testing
• Cloud architecture (AWS bonus)
• SQL, relational databases and data modelling
• Website usability, accessibility, security
• UI/UX
